Development update: Quick Player Mockup
Progress is coming along great — I spent a minute or so to make this quick mockup of how the player’s robot will work:
It is awfully expensive to send in fully-suited humans into battle, so these versatile remote-controlled robots will do what needs to be done. 🙂
Control will closely resemble traditional First-Person games, but there will be a slight “roll” with motion, and jumping won’t be a sudden “bounce”, but a more sustained increase in height as long as the jump key is pressed (which should allow for tighter jump control).
I’m working on world generation now, which will tie all of the room generation together. In the end, it should create an interesting tree-like structure of rooms!
